Dr. Jennings was born in Huntsville, Alabama and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia, Athens graduating in 1987 Summa Cum Laude with highest honors with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. After earning his Medical Doctorate at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta in 1991, he completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedics Residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, later serving as Chief Resident at the Veterans Administration in New Orleans. He went on to an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine Center at Indiana University.
Dr. Jennings is certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has been a practicing Sports Medicine provider since 1997. His expertise in Sports Medicine has made him an invaluable resource to sports teams. Since 1997, he has served as a team provider for the Indianapolis Colts, the US Air Force Academy, Manchester College, a professional indoor football team; The Rock River Raptors, as well as numerous high school teams in Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and Northeastern North Carolina.
An accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Jennings expertly performs a variety of open and arthroscopic surgeries on the shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger, hip, and knee along with total shoulder, reverse shoulder, knee, and hip replacement surgeries. In his personal time, Dr. Jennings enjoys spending time with his two children Jason and Sylvia.
