Addiction Treatment

Dr. Julian Ospina offers addiction treatment for patients suffering from various Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including opioid, stimulant, alcohol and marijuana.  He also treats patients suffering from chronic pain that is unresponsive to opioid therapy.  Dr. Ospina is Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and is also Board Certified in Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Ospina grew up in Cali, Columbia, where he attended Medical School at the Universidad del Valle.  He then moved to Winnipeg, Canada to attend the University of Manitoba to complete his Family Medicine Residency Program.  Upon completion of Residency, Dr. Ospina worked for several years in Canada before he moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he completed a one-year Addiction Medicine Fellowship at the University of Maryland. Dr. Ospina is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine Physicians and by the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Addiction Medicine.  He is also Certified by the Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) and is designated as a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians (FCFP).

Dr. Ospina joined North Bend Medical Center in 2018. He manages the Addiction Clinic in addition to being the Medical Director for the Immediate Care Clinic.  His Addiction Clinic offers treatment for patients suffering from various Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including opioid, stimulant, alcohol and marijuana.  He also treats patients suffering from chronic pain that is unresponsive to opioid therapy.

Dr. Ospina is married to his wife Stephanie and they have three sons and one daughter.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, bicycling, healthy eating, mindful meditation, the mountains and the ocean.
