Jesse A. Dorfmeister, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in critical care and emergency nursing. Originally from Long Island, New York, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Delaware, where he was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. He later completed his Master of Science in Nursing at Graceland University, with a concentration in Family Practice and a thesis focused on the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Since relocating to Coos Bay in 2013, Jesse has become a trusted and accessible healthcare provider in the community. He has been delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to internal medicine patients at North Bend Medical Center since 2017. Jesse offers same-day appointments for both primary care needs and substance use disorder treatment, ensuring timely support for patients navigating acute medical concerns, chronic conditions, or urgent recovery needs.
Jesse is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, including opioids, methamphetamines, alcohol, and other substances. He uses a judgment-free, harm reduction model to support patients in achieving their sobriety and recovery goals, meeting each person where they are with compassion and evidence-based strategies.
In addition to his clinical work, Jesse serves in multiple leadership roles at North Bend Medical Center, including on the Board of Directors, and serves as a mentor to new providers.
